Engineering Difficulty and application technology:

A metal drainage system is specially designed on the super-large scale low-radiation cable glass curtain wall of 36 meters high from the atrium facade. Different from the traditional mode of outward drainage, the metal drainage system collects rainwater inward, and then discharges to the ground through the downpipe on both sides of the windowsill, which can minimize the rain and sewage flow and ensure that the facade is clean and bright. The glass curtain wall can not only cover the rain and hot sunlight, but also adjust the indoor temperature, reduce the energy consumption of the building, which is more economical and environmentally friendly.

Project Introduction:
   The SAIC Volkswagen Technology Center designed by HPP has been officially put into use, leading Shanghai Jiading Anting International Automobile City to become a world-class automobile manufacturing base. It won the design right of HPP of SAIC Volkswagen Technology Center in 2018, creating a modern composite office space for it, and becoming one of the important projects of Anting International Automobile City. As a leader in the domestic automobile industry, SAIC Volkswagen’s office building designed by HPP is based on the image of “enterprise portal” as the main body, which is composed of the north and south towers connected at the top. Each of the two towers is rotated, maximizing the landscape while giving the building a unique shape.
